Angry Poll Already Scheduled ?????

Dear Experts,
I'm again in troble...I've Redhat 8.0 (Kernel ver..2.4.18-14). IBM x-series server. Server contains 2 Lan cards (One addon and another is onboard). Onboard lan is Broadcom gigabit eternet. When I work on server normally it works fine for hours but when I do some kind of networking activity (i.e. NFS file copy, ftp etc.) its displaying an error msg on screen continously...."tg3:eth0:error: Poll Already scheduled". Its really disturbing enough during when I'm doing some work...Plz help.

Well - you might try a non-ancient kernel:

I knew that dear but I have to give the solutions to my customers. Even some of our costomers working on RH 7.2. Upagrading to some latest kernel is their lookout.
Can u tell me what would be the reason behind this prob.
And what could be the best solution for the problem I can give without Kernel upgradation.
It works normally when I disabled one of the lan cards but it start displaying msgs when I enabled both one.
Plz suggest....
I'll be very thankful to u.

Way it looks like you can either upgrade or patch the kernel or tell the customers to disable one lan :-)
I would go with the kernel upgrade - shouldn`t disrupt anything besides the reboot time as long as you don`t go from 2.4.x to 2.6.x
Doubt if that would hurt anything either but ppl running all kinds of setups.Just upgrade the kernel and take it from there.
