I am very new to Linux, so bare with me. I am running Corel's distribution and have installed the PMFirewall utility for configuring IPchains and IpMASQ. I have two windows machine accessing the internet just fine. Webbrowsing, Email are running perfectly. The only thing that I cannot do is to connect to my office via VPN. the Windows client gives me an error of 650. If I try it on a windows machine directly connected to the internet it is fine. In fact WINDOWS ME ICS gave me no problems. I found one post on the linuxnewbie.org forum that suggested that I add the following lines to pmfirewall.rules.local which I have done, but it still does not work. Can anyone help me out?? Would it help if i posted my entire pmfirewall.local.rules file?

Hmm. I think you'll need to know what ports your VPN connection is using and substitute for what's listed there. And I believe they need to be after the rules set by pmfirewall otherwise pmfirewall's rules might negate them.

You might go to www.linuxdoc.org and look up the ipchains how-to to figure out how to set it up to allow the VPN connection to get through to the Windows box.
