Please give your advice, tips, and comments.

Hello all,

Where I work: In the next couple of months I will need to setup multiple static public (external) ip's for a couple of websites that require SSL cert.

My setup now is that I have one external static ip being controlled my a router/firewall that is only capable of supporting one external static ip. I will need to obviously replace it. My question is what do you guys recommend as in equipment? Any tips, advice, cautions, and comments are welcome since this new to me and I am learning as I go.

Thanks,

Greg M.

Well if I'm understanding you correctly you may not have to buy any additional hardware at all. If you are just going to host a couple of websites from your server then you can use <VirtualHosts> in your httpd.conf file. This way your one server is serving up multiple web pages(i.e. firstpage.com, secondpage.com, thirdpage.com, etc.)

Ummm...I'm I understanding you correctly? Is it absolutely necessary for each site to have a unique IP address?
