Ping question
I have a dedicative server. I just change the domain IP to the new server. However, it takes up to 3 days for IP to propogate.
When I do ping from the dedicative server it shows that mydomain.com points to the dedicativeserver, when I ping from my "home" box it shows the "old" IP .
Why is that ?
Thanks

How did you define the DNS addresses?
Check /etc/resolv.conf files on both machines

DNS takes time to propergate. Some name servers have a long TTL set and don't expire cached entries as quickly as others.
