Ping-loss on a linux router

Hello!

I am using a Linux Router for several years now in a not really small environment.
Unfortunately i am now having ping loss every day at a the exact same time.

I did a tcpdump, uses iftop an watched in the logs, but i could not find anyting telling me what causes this problem.

I would like some suggestions on this issue and maybe an idea on what to look at.
Thanks.

Hi,

A description of the network will help, how many hops to reach the target? interfaces? routes?, basically a description of your network and the source of destination of the ping command will help on a first stage.

"every day at a the exact same time"

That is at least a good part of the issue. It makes me think it is some task. Ping however is a poor indicator. I'd guess dhcp but we'd need to know much more about this.
