Angry Peer to Peer Network SuSE 7.3

OK I've been running SuSE 7.3 for 10 months now with no problem whatsoever. However I recently bought a Network Kit - Netgear SB105 - which I had up and running under win98 in 15 mins but I can't get it to work under linux no matter what I seem to try and the more I read the more confused I become.
Can anyone give me simple instructions, or point me to simple instructions, on how to setup a simple peer to peer network between my 2 computers.

Thanks

It works with SuSE linux 8.x it may not work on 7.x but try these:

Re-setting up your ip address/network setup.
Install samba with linneighborhood or webmin.
Use other network card on your linux box if above attempt fails.

See if more info somewhere at
www.netgear.com

Have a lot of fun :-)

I've made some progress - I can now ping from pc to pc!!! - so the hardware is at least working.

Now I'll have to get to grips with Samba et al.

Some days I think I'm too old for all this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your help
