pdnsd as a lan cache

hi everybody.

i set up pdnsd on an arch box and it's very speedy indeed at resolving when sat at the localhost!

it's my intention to setup a cache for our lan, and when i set up the arch box as a forwarder for our win2k server, it caches the entries without any problem but doesn't seem to give the results back to the lan dns server (?)

if i run nslookup from the win2k dns box, an error like this comes up--

Z:\>nslookup www.apple.com 10.1.1.23
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Can't find server name for address 10.1.1.23: Timed out
Server: UnKnown
Address: 10.1.1.23

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.

*** Request to UnKnown timed-out

i'm pretty sure that i've overlooked the reverse records or something like that. anyone have any ideas on solving this? it's a great program, just not too useful in this state.
