PCI network card
 

Well first off I am very new to Linux and am just experimenting.

Yesterday I booted up the gentoo LiveCD installer thing and it was working fine (isn't installed though) but I really need help on how to connect to the internet using my wireless card. It is a Belkin wireless PCI network card and is connected to an ACTIONTEC router.

I was instructed by the gentoo handbook to use net-setup which I tried but whatever I typed into the boxes (Gateway, netmask etc) still didn't get a result.

Maybe this will help. Do you have support in the kernel for your card? are you loading a module for it?
