pam_rhosts_auth

I am having problems with a new installation of Fedora Core 3.

The network is using NIS from a Solaris 2.8 machine for authentication.

Can do
/bin/su -l nis_account

Can not do
rlogin -l nis_account fed3_machine
If I rlogin 2 or 3 times immidiately, it will work. (confusing?)

/var/log/messages

Nov 11 15:09:29 fed3_machine pam_rhosts_auth[4260]: denied to nis_account@solaris28.domain.com as nis_account: access not allowed

I am not worried about security and must use rlogin because of legacy tools. The network is totaly protected.

I must allow any user on the network to have access to the fed3_machine from any other computer on the network, Solaris 2.8, Solaris 2.6, RH 7.2, RHES 3.0, RH 8.0, RH 9.

I do not use the .rhosts file at all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
