Oracle Installation

Hi all now i have encounter an error when installing Oracle 10g on a RH 9 application server. Now those familiar with oracle will agree thath there are several parameters you have to put into place so that the installation is successful, eg memory size ipv4 address range etc.
Now i have encountered the following error which is related to the ststl.conf file after proceeding with the installation:
Code:
checking for wmem_default=262144;found wmem_default=110592
checking for wmem_max=262144;found wmem_max=131071
checking for IP_local_port_range=1024-65000;found IP_local_port_range=32768-61000
Now i would like to know where it is getting this figures from. Here is my configuration file
Code:
kernel.core_uses_pid = 1
kernel.shmall = 2097152
kernel.shmmax = 2147483648
kernel.shmmni = 4096
kernel.sem = 250 32000 100 128
fs.file-max = 65536
net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 1024 65000
kernel.rmem_default = 262144
kernel.rmem_max = 262144
kernel.wmem_default = 262144
kernel.wmem_max = 262144

Take a look here to see to configure these parameters.
I suggest you to read the whole HOWTO before proceeding with the intallation.

Regards

I think the Oracle Installer checks values in /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_local_port_range.
Hope this helps.
