openvpn - unable to disable replay logging

anyone know why, even though i've specified the "mute-replay-warnings" in both my server and client configs, i still get these in my logs?:

Code:
Aug 15 16:37:29 SERVERNAME openvpn@server[281]: clientname/XX.XX.XX.XX:65102 PID_ERR replay [0] [SSL-0] [0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000] 0:395198 0:395198 t=1376602649[0] r=[-4,64,15,665,1] sl=[2,64,64,528]
they happen at varying rates from varying client connection types, sometimes at hundreds per hour.
