Openvpn route

Hi !

I applied the rules to make openvpn work :

http://wiki.debian.org/OpenVPN#Forward_traffic_via_VPN

But at a moment, it is asked to change the client route from 10.9.8.2 to 10.9.8.5. Why the heck do I need to change ?

Does it adds any extra security ? Currently everything is working like a charm, but I don't understand this very thing.

May someone help/clarify ?

Thanks

LeHibou

I set up a server + client on debian machines yesterday.

I followed the steps like in the url I gave.

Everything is working fine.

But for my own knowledge, I need to know why they ask to set the final route to 10.9.8.5 whereas the test is with 10.9.8.2.

That is just it. Need to understand if there is something involved or if i could just have let it on 10.9.8.2.

Your opinion ?
