openswan / openvpn tunnel between 4 ubuntu servers

Hi all,

I have to configure ipsec / openvpn tunnel between 4 ubuntu machines.

lan ---- r1 >> r2 >> r3 >> r4 ---- lan

i configured openswan on all 4 and connected via ipsec, works fine, but problem is with routing, since i'm using netkey, there is no tunnel interface, unable to route traffic after second hop.

Please help me out doing this. is KLIPS and tunnel interface to configure routing.

or else any other way to do this. i have to do this only with 4 linux routers, no cisco.

thanks in advace.

If KLIPS is used, a ipsecX interface is created and then routing and iptable can be applied to the interface.

Following link can help you configure IPSec interface if klips module is available in your distribution.
http://linuxplayer.org/2011/02/opens...he-klips-stack.

If the module isn't available, you have to compile Openswan from source - read the INSTALL file, it tells you how
to build the KLIPS modules.
