open ports for xmule in mdk 10

Can someone please tell me how to open tcp 4662 and udp 4672 in mandrake 10.0? I haven't been able to get this to work with the mcc gui. I tried the advanced interface in the mandrake control center under the firewall section and it just does not take. What I mean is that I enter the firewall section of the mandrake control center and click the advanced button at the bottom. Them I enter 4662/tcp in the text box. I click ok and then it asks for me to choose my network adapter. I chose eth0 etc and it takes me back to the firewall options again. The port is still not open, as far as I can tell. Same results with udp 4672. I'm assuming that the ports are not open because of the weak connection I am getting from xmule 1.8.2c. I would appreciate any assistance provided.

I forgot to mention that I am behind a linksys router, but I have emule installed on my windows machine that is connected to the same router and I don't have this problem with the windows machine. I had to install upnp on the windows machine and open the ports mentioned above to solve the same problem. I assumed there is an analog for Linux.

open 4665 udp, otherwise ask some friends to scan your ports with nmap or at least use :
