one linksys DD-wrt router with both AP and Bridge?

Hello group,

This question falls into the village idiot class.

I have a wireless link coming from my NOC down to my house. The link
down is made up of a NANO 20 in client mode at the NOC pointing to
my LinkSys wrt54g AP at the house. This configuration works but not
very well. I would like to replace this with the following:
  1. change wrt54g AP to dual mode, bridge and AP.
  2. change NANO to bridge mode
First question is can I configure a wrt54g running DD-wrt to be both a bridge and an AP?
Second can I separate the two antennas into one for the bridge and one for the AP?

Thanks for your time.

What do you mean by works but not very well? I assume by NANO your mean a TP-Link router but using exact terms would help others understand your problem better.

What is the line of sight distance between the Nano and Linksys AP? I don't think the 54G has the capability of being a bridge and an AP. Not sure how the antennas are configured but since it is an old device I doubt it can be changed on a firmware level.
