" cannot find host "website name"

Hi there,
I used that driver for quite a while when I was on dial-up, and I remember it worked better when I coughed up the cash for the version without speed limitations. The limited speed version is only really intended to help you see if it works on your system I think- the 14 kbps is probably prohibitive for quite a few things these days.....
Sorry- not much help!
Jon

$15 for a limitless license on one kind of modem. I also used that software, and buying it will allow it to connect at it's full speed. It makes a night and day difference if all you're using is dial up.
Another free option is getting a lucent / agere modem, but with the hassle of getting the kernel module working or running a self installer with each boot, the $15 is really worth spending.

At 14KBps what you are probably seeing is timeouts on the connections you are trying to make. Since not enough of the data from a typical connection to a website (these days) can fit through your 14k pipe, packets are getting buffered or dropped and the connections timeout, causing the error messages you see. Like everyone else said, buy a real modem or the full driver or broadband Internet.
