odd problem
My secondary MX and DNS server recently stopped responding to the outside world, it will not respond to ping requests or anything. However, I am able to ssh into the machine from the local area network. I tried several different things, and I have never seen anything like this. Tried doing a reboot to no avail. When I tell it to do print the routing tables (route) it takes 35 seconds to spit out the table, which is a basic 3 line routing table. Outisde route, loopback, and default(gateway). Everything was working fine, and no changes were made to anything before it unexpectedly starting acting up. I know this doesn't provide a lot of detail, it's been such a long night, if anyone has any insight whatsoever, I would be greatly appreciative to hear from you -- let me know if anyone needs any more details. Thanks in advance!

For future reference, I think some people won't even look at your thread with the title 'odd problem'. If you give an indication of what the problem is in the title of the thread, then someone who might have a clue about it will take a look.
'odd problem' is not fixable.
And, sorry, but I don't have a solution for the 'problem'.
