obtaining DNS from DHCP

Hi,
I have a dual boot fedora 4 and windows XP on my computer. on windows I can get DNS easily and i can have access to all servers just by writing their names. but in linux i have to write their address in order to connect them.
when i execute the following command
cat /etc/resolv.conf
i get following results:
nameserver 212.15.127.1
nameserver 212.15.122.253

but i think this address is wrong.
if in windows i can get DNS it means my network has DNS enabled.

I got so confused about this problem!!!

in my network computers get IP from dhcp dynamically so IP addresses change all the time. moreover if i want to make a server with a name other people are not able to connect to it by writing its name
