ntp pfsense

Got new network stamp where computers are behind pfsense firewall. But now the time for the client machines are not in sync anymore. The ntpd is started and synced on the firewall but whenever I point the clients to sync with the firewall it never gets done. How should I get the client machines synced up?

Make sure that port 123 is open for lan clients. So set the rule to be source lan net and destination to the pfsense address.

Also check in the services tab that the ntp daemon is running. I get ntp from external pools, but i have noticed that on the current stable release, the ntp daemon does not run all the time even when started manually. It automatically shuts off randomly.
