nt, ms proxy, samba
Okay,
I have a machine (not mine) that I am connected to that runs Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft Proxy. Its connected to the internet.
Now I have my machine (dual-boot 2000/linux slackware 8.0) thats connected to the first machine via ethernet cards and a hub.
I want to be able to access the internet from within linux slackware on the second machine.
Now I'm not sure if I need to log in with a specific domain controller to use MS proxy, or even if its possible to use ms proxy from within slackware, but I would like to do so.
Does this mean I need to somehow configure samba to log me into the domain controller?
Also, ms proxy is very...weird, anyone have any tips on how to solve this problem? To reiterate, how would I get my slackware linux OS to connect to the internet via a LAN machine running ms proxy?
Thanks,
N
