NT Domain Promtp for User/Pass - Simple Question

Hey,

I have a linux box (based on FC1) in NT Domain working like a wks.

Previously setup all configuration related with "linux workstation in NT Domain":
Samba
Winbind
PAM
etc...

Joined to domain and tested the configuration, all works fine:
getent passwd
getent groups
wbinfo -u
wbinfo -g
etc...

The users from Domain login with no problems in Linux box (great!).

But...here is the problem:
When I try to browse any machine from the domain gnome prompt a window required the username and password for acces to the share, if I enter a valid usr/pwd from domain all works fine, but I donīt wanna make this, I need that the access is transparent for the user, anyone know how to solution this problem?

I tested Xandros distribution and the example works correctly =(

Please help me, if I can work this fine, the corporation migrate 500+ computers to Linux :-)

Thx in advance and sorry for my english ;-)

You may edit smb.conf.Modify "security=share".

I have set "security=domain", but the access from win box to linux work fine, the problem is when I try to access from Linux box to a Win share.

I found this in official site of pam_smb:

What is pam_smb?
pam_smb is a PAM module/server which allows authentication of UNIX users using an NT server.

Features (v1 and v2):
Authenticates Linux users against SMB servers in user mode(95, NT, samba etc). Will not authenticate against share level systems.
Supported OSes: Linux (any PAM supporting distro), Solaris 2.6 or greater.
Supports NT/Lanman encrypted passwords.
Any service which uses PAM can authenticate against NT.
Can setup to ignore lack of a local password entry when something else provides the users information such as RADIUS.

Anyone know another method for authenticate access to shares in NT Domain in Gnome?

thx.

Try to use command "smbmount". "man smbmount"

Yes, that work, but you understand the problem?

Only linux box prompt for user/pwd when I try to acces a windows domain share using Gnome.

Thx for your time =)

bye.
