not starting automatically ???

i did as described in the thread

the thing with "NO MII support=yes"

and now when booting it displays bringing up eth0 [success] (translated from danish)

but i still have to start console in xserver an log in as root and type "dhclient" in order to get online??

also when i go inside the madrake config tool from x server(KDE) and try to look at my internet connection, it says LAN - unplugged?? but im still online after runneng dhclient??

Why is that??
