Question Noob ALERT!! How do I get Fedora Core 4 to use my linksys ethernet card?

I am very new linux (just installed it 1 week ago) and i am not yet familiar with how it all works yet. I do know that windows is pissing me off so i only use it for my class work.

I am running 32bit FC4 on a 64bit system with 1GB of ram.
I need to know how to install the drivers for my ethernet card.
Linksys model 1032 v.3 10/100/1000 gigabit network adapter

any help provided will be apprieciated.

I will be checking this regularly, so if you need more info just ask or email me.

Thank You

Adam

Is that onboard or a card?

Try the 64-bit FC4. It should "automagically" recognize your card during the install. (At least, that's what I think should happen. My accountant [i.e., "wife"] won't let me buy a 64-bit system, so I have no experience with 64-bit FC4.)

I have tried to use the 64 bit FC4 but could not use it do to the fact that it wouldnt install.
The card is 32bit and works fine on my mindows machine (curses bill gates) even with the 64bit processor
It is a PCI card not an onboard sorry for the confusion

Take a look at this thread. It might help. Also, try the Linksys site.

Good luck.
