No web surfing from workstations
I have a Linux 9.0 server in use as a router.
From the Linux box, I can ping all ip's and www names...
From the workstations that use the Linux Box as a gateway, I can ping all ip's - but no www names, nor will they pull up any websites...
I have all the ipv4 forwarding set, and the resolve.conf file config'd, but still no go....
I read a post a while ago about using BIND, but I have setup 3 of these before with no problems like this...
Please help with any info you may have.

Sounds like DNS
Sounds to me like your having issues with a DNS server. On my network (and it will probably change real quick) I am using my ISP's DNS server for all my machines. My router would just stop resolving DNS requests one day, so, out of frustration that's what I did. Now, I'm wanting to implement SQUID, so I think that will have to change. But, enough about that.
Get a working DNS and your problems should be over. Now that could be using the same DNS as the gateway is using. Just put it into the machines behind it.
