no revers record
Hello all, I seem to have had a problem pop up lately. I have done a seach here and google and can'treally make sense of it.
If there is a thread about this please accept my appology and point me that way.
I am running Blag as my main rig and I have another "test" computer running CentOS.
These are the computers I see the problem with.
Tonight when I logged in I recieved and error, something about "can't look up internet address for no-revese-record-configured.unknown.al.charter.com" It also said this could cause gnome to work incorrectly.
So I click logg in anyway. All seems to work fine untill I try to access a samba server on a clarck connect box. then I get error about "Couldn't display "smb:///", because Nautilus cannot contact the SMB master browser."
When I open a terminal window I see that my computer nolonger has jason@localhost anymore, but now it has "jason@no-reverse-record-configured "
So I check the CentOS computer to find the same errors. The windows system on another computer works fine.
What could be causing this and what could have changed it from locolhost to something else???
Thanks on advance.
Jaaon
