No PPP device option available

Hello
When I go to Network Configurator in KDE or even linuxconf I have no PPP option available to add. I upgraded ppp package, I also upgraded knetwork-ppp and still the same problem.
I have no way to add ppp device. I wonder if that relates to my modem not being set up properly. When I query a modem the modem is found.
I am really lost. Would anyone help me to clear that and find the way to add PPP option please.
Thanks.
Slawa:( :(

Hmmmm.... I don't use KDE, but in Gnome there's the PPP Dialer and then there's something called Dialup Configuration. If you click on your KDE menu try looking for these options. Anyways, you might have to put your numbers into the Dialup Configuration, and then use the PPP Dialer thingie to actually select and dial the number. There should always be a way to add a phone number, regardless if your modem is there or not. If your modem is not set up properly, you will get an error message when it tries to dial.

Hope this helps!

It was different problem

Yes I understand what you were saying. I can do all these settings. When I dial the modem is there and dialing not a problem but then it drops with a message that Kernel died , ppp0 device missing.
If I want to add it trough the Network COnfigurator I don't even have PPP available and it shoudl be there the same as eth is there..
I really cannot find any kind of solution to this . I tried everything
