No net session...

Hello everyone.
I have recently installed SUSE 9.0 on my laptop (pIII 700MHz ....) and everything works fine exept for Internet. I can't connect to the net, not ping not anything. I'm connected at my office and are running DHCP. The network adapter is installed and works fine I gusess. The lamp on the adapter indicates connection...

Can anybody help me?

Go into YAST2, system, runlevel editor and check that network etc. is started for runlevel 3 and 5. I had a similar problem with SuSE 8.2 (I also had to start pcmcia manually for my laptop, even though it had worked out to install it).

Also check (as root) that the DHCP config is working - /sbin/ifconfig eth0 - /sbin/ifup-dhcp eth0 - or whatever your network devince is listed as.

My apologies if things are changed in SuSE 9 and this is not relevant!
