No LAN connection in RTLV 3.0

No LAN connection in RTLV 3.0
I am having a problem in which i am unable to ping any system through my computer having OS RTLV 3.0
It has following specifications INtel Core 2 duo CPU E 4600
and inbuilt ethernet card RealTek RTL 8168C(P)/8111C PCI -E Gigabit Ethernet

Also i am able to assign it an IP using
#neat #command but mii-tool does not shows anything

I am using a computer with dual boot option using GRUB .On loading Windows the LAN port blinks but on loading Linux the port does not blinks
Here are the commands which I use to see the LAN status
#dmesg |grep eth0
eth0 : RTLV8168b/8111b at oxf88fa000,MAC address, IRQ 17
r8169 :eth0: link up
eth0 : no IPV6 routers present

#ethtool -i eth0
driver: r8169
version :2.2LK-NAPI
firmware version:
bus-info :0000:02:00.0
Sometimes on using command dmesg|grep eth0 it shows link down and shows device eth0 entered promiscuous mode
Also I am having 2 more computers with Real Time Linux loaded on them and they are working absolutely fine.

I am manually assigning IP address to all three computers but in this particular computer the LAN Port is not blinking

Are there two (2) devices?

--ethernet card RealTek RTL 8168C(P)/ and

--8111C PCI -E Gigabit Ethernet ?
