at first: Sorry for my english, i'd prefer german, but i don't know how represented this language is here. (This sounds ... strange :P)
The first time, i ran Eeebuntu was the Live-Version, so without installing. I connected with our wlan-router and the internet just worked fine. I decided to install the OS to the harddrive. After finishing and restarting, i connected to the router again - no problem, but now firefox doesn't load any page. it says: Server not found. Does anybody know, how to fix the problem ?
I'm afraid this is an English-only forum (though I too would be interested in a multilingual one) so you're stuck with English
What steps did you take to connect to the router? It will probably be easier to troubleshoot if you try connecting through the terminal... For my router, I use the following steps:
The problem you may find is that LiveCDs tend to have a lot of drivers / extra fluff to cover all possible hardware - when you install it, it tends not to put in all that stuff, so the environments aren't really the same...
Apparently a programme called 'wpa_supplicant' is what you're looking for - try following the steps in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=263136) and if it doesn't work, then post any error messages you get back here
The terminal is remarkably similar to the Windows command prompt, just better :P it's essentially a text-only way of controlling the computer, which is useful because it's far easier to post output from a terminal than to post a screenshot of your wireless app.
Eeebuntu asked for the password for the router (again), so i clicked "show password" and there are some strange letters, but not my pw, so i wrote it again, and after a few moments, the window apeared again, and the same, meaningless letters were displayed in the box, where i've wrote the correct pw O.o
