Question No ethernet connection on Slackware 10.2.

I am trying to set up one of my old computers as a server running Slackware 10.2, but when I start it I can not connect to the internet. I tried running ifconfig and it does not show eth0. I tried running the Slax live CD, which is based off of Slackware; it connects to the internet and shows eth0 when ifconfig is run. I remember having this problem last time I installed Linux on this computer, but I forgot how to fix it or where I found the solution. Does any one have any suggestions of things to try to make it work?

I fixed it. It was a stupid mistake: I forgot to install dhcpcd. I installed it and ran dhcpcd eth0. Now it works.
