No DNS server found/Gateway

I'm not sure if this is the place to go but after trying Xbox Customer Support, Cox, Microsoft, and Motorola I am at an end. Since Hurricane Katrina I have been forced to use a different modem to connect to Live. It's a Motorola SB4200. It as a USB Port and an Ethernet. The second local area connection on this comp is Realtek RTL8139 Family Ethernet Fast PCI. I don't know if it is supposed to have a DNS Server and a Gateway number but it doesn't and that's the only thing I have left to go on since I've checked everything else. When ever I hooking the Xbox to the Modem via Ethernet cable while having the modem connected to the comp by USB when I try to get on Xbox Live I get a No DNS Server found. It does the same if I unplug the USB. The onlything I can think of right nowis that since the second Local Area Connection has no DNS Server or a Gateway it can't get on Live. You can obviousely tell that I am a fool at this stuff, and I definately need help. If anyone has any suggestions about anything it will be appreciated.

According to the Motorola info, the second Ethernet port requires a second ip number from your ISP.. It's not a dhcp port..

You could connect your XBox via your laptop..
