nmbd wont start


im using sawt and when i try to go into the server status and start my server smbd will start but nmbd wont, and they both used to, but i never actualy had anything shared yet because i hadnt quite got through the users part yet, but it could be seen from windows machhines, and now it cant because i cant get the nmbd to start, and take it kind on the answer im a newbie

here is my smb.conf file if that will help, and by looking at it it dosnt look right, so if someone could help me on that too...thanks

Please post the command and results when you try to start this service like this:

'service smb stop'
'service smb start'

Any thing in /var/log/messages right after doing this?
How about /var/log/samba/log.nmbd? log.smbd? smbd.log?

Also, what do you get when you run 'testparm' on your smb.conf?
