NICdriver/module compilation problem

How to compile the latest 8139too?
I cant do it because when
i type
make 8139too (in supaconsole in driver directory)
The log says many errors and the content of /usr/include/linux/version.h appear telling me that i must change my path to include files into /usr/src/linux-2.4.20..../include/
and cp the content of /boot/vmlinuz.version.h to the above directory ./version.h
But it is already done since a previous compilation with gcc
I have changed the Makefile paths as indicated
but it continue to load the wrong header files
in /usr/include/linux
I don't understand
Seems this driver is full of bug
