nic problem DL140 bcm5704

I have some serious problem that i could not resolve by myself.

The specs:
Os: Slackware 9.0
Hp Proliant dl140, xeon 2.4
Nic: NetXtreme bcm5704

I have problem with my nics. I have Dual gigabit broadcom nics onboard.
The exact name of the nics is NetXtreme bcm5704. At dmesg i have something like
%: tg.3 problem fetching invariants of chip aborting.
Actually the tg3 as i understand supposed to work with NetXtreme nics. The ifconfig -a only gives me the lo interface and no eth's.
What i gone do? How i could get my nics up? Its a bit problem to download the broadcom driver cause i have no floppy drives only cd.

Thanks! :-))

Had same problem, same HW config , Fedora Core 2. After extensive search I have found solutions that worked.
