Post NIC and Interface Device mapping info?

Hi,

I have two NICs

one is "Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM/CA/CAM Ethernet Controller (rev 03)"
other is " Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)"

both were detected and iam getting "etho" and "eth1" interface devices.

upto that its fine.

But how can find mapping of this NIC and Interface Devices,
ie for example, for "Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82801BA/BAM/CA/CAM Ethernet Controller (rev 03)" "eth0" is the interface device for the other "eth1" is interface device.

so, how and where to get this mapping information ?

with regards

Dileep

for 2.4.x kernels
check /etc/modules.conf
for 2.6.x kernels check
/etc/modprobe.conf
