Smile NFS sync'ing

I am trying to sync 2 NFS shares between 2 Suse 9.2 boxes. I ahve the mount share of /usr2/Data and its mounted as /mnt/gps on the backup box. This /mnt/gps is a link to /usr2/Data on my backup box hoping that it would copy or dump the data directly into there. So far its not doing that, I'm not sure waht I am doing wrong. Can somoene help me?

i'm lost... you simply have a symlink from one place to another... why would you think that would copy the data? if you only write it to one place, it's only going to exist in one place. you might well be better off using rsync rather than nfs to try to keep them upto date, although it's not a problem to create a simple copy script to copy data over with a newer files only flag. not that elegant though when there's rsync there todo it for you.
