NFS share problem

Hi all !

I'm trying to share files from a Debian box( ip : 192.168.1.101) to a Ubuntu laptop (IP: 192.168.1.102)... but it doesn't seem to be working.

This is the /etc/exports on the Debian box :

/home/elvirolo/mp3/ 192.168.1.102(ro)

/etc/hosts.allow:

portmap: 192.168.1.102
lockd: 192.168.1.102
roquotab: 192.168.1.102
mountd: 192.168.1.102
statd: 192.168.1.102

/etc/hosts.deny :

portmap:ALL
lockd:ALL
mountd:ALL
rquotab:ALL
statd:ALL

But when I try mount 192.168.1.101:/home/elvirolo/mp3 /mnt/mp3 on the Ubuntu box, it just hangs ...

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks in advance,

Alex.

First, there's a typo in /etc/hosts.allow and .deny... It should be rquotad, not rquotab (or roquotab).

If that's just a typo in your post, and not in your files, then have you tried dropping iptables on the debian box to see if you can mount it?

There was indeed a typo in the file ... I think iptables was causing the prob ! It all works npw ! Thanks a lot,
