nfs permission problem

hello,

I have an nfs server over HPUX 11i system, I'm trying to mount the nfs share on a linux distribution RH ES3. and It's given me the error:
nsfserver:/share failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

this is my exports file at hpux side:
/dsk2/var/share root=hostclient1,access=hostclient1

any help?
Tkx in advance

I run FC, so not sure if this applies but is your incoming ip in your hosts.allow?

Just a guess.

Do you have the ports opened on the firewall of both machines? Ports have to match on both machines.
