NFS differences between openSuSE and Ubuntu

hello,
i have two linux installations, the first is openSuSE 10.2, and
the second is Ubuntu 6.10.

I mount a nfs folder to be read with dosemu on both installations,
and then i run foxpro from that folder.

On SuSE, the program runs smoothly, but on Ubuntu, it says "read
error". I think there must be something wrong with my nfs mount
command. I do this on both installations:

mount -t nfs servername:/foldername

please help,

thank you

on debian (which is quite similar to ubuntu, i think), i just mount my nfs folders like this
mount server-ip:/folder

without any -t options. if you want to use

mount servername:/folder

you may have to set up the servername and the correct server-ip in /etc/hosts
