nfs

hi,
just to clarify.
NFS4 use protocol tcp/ip instead of udp in nfsv3.right?
thus netstat -a|grep nfs will show established connection between client and server on nfsv4.right?
tcp 0 0 *:nfs *:* LISTEN LISTEN
tcp 0 0 y.localdomain:nfs y.localdomain:nmap ESTABLISHED

in nfsv3 netstat -a|grep nfs will not show established connection.right?
tnx

In general, the difference is that TCP is connection based, UDP is signal based. NFS is a connection, DNS is a signal.
NFS in the normal and standard configuration will use TCP and show as a connection.
