New User cannot logon

Ok I have my samba pdc running. I can log in as root and my user name.
I added a new user after this but this cannot log.
I have added the user in the shell , confirmed that they have a password, confirmed they have a share setup
/var/spool/profiles/user
Made sure they have owner ship and even tried with root as owner.
Kinda curious as to why this is happening.
I like the was things work in Samba so far just owndering if someone has ran across the same problem??

Thxs

Do a "smbpasswd -a user password", where user is the user you want to add, and the password is the users password . samba uses its own user system, with its own passwd file.
