New to Linux help - Gold Port Etehrnet


Am not a techy but have finally installed Linux on a Thinkpad 600. It has as Gold Port USB Ethernet. I dont know how to install/activate it to get onto Internet.

This may help if you can identify the chip used;

also consider using a pcmcia network card as they are pretty cheap.
