New 3C905b-tx recognized as 3C501

I just installed a 3c905b-tx NIC and RH9 sees a 3c501

This new NIC works as is evidenced by my ability to boot into XP and access network but when I try:
modprobe 3c905 RH9 does not see the card as present. When I modprobe 3c501 it sees it.

I have edited my hosts file to reflect
localhost.localdomain 127.0.0.1 localhost
newname.newdomain 127.0.0.1 localhost

What do i need to do to recognize the 905b-tx and how would I get it to work on the network?

Thanks for any help.
-Scott
