Hi,
I recently installed Linux 2.6.7 onto my Slackware 9.1 installation with my network card (3c509) as a module. Networking worked just fine after reboot, with dhcpd finding the dhcp server and setting stuff up as it had previously done with Linux 2.4.
Now, for another reason I had to update the AwardBIOS on my Abit K7V motherboard, and after successfully doing that, networking has stopped working with Linux. The 3c509 module finds the card and loads the driver as usual, but when dhcpd runs it claims it doesn't get a response from the server, so I can't establish an Internet connection.
The strange thing is, I am currently running the same computer with Windows 2000, in which networking works as well as it did before the upgrade.
Any help is very much appreciated.
