Im trying to net work one computer(windows xp) to another computer(suse9.3) both share a router ,along with my wifes computer but im trying to get suse to see a folder on my xp computer,my problem is i cant seem to figure out how to get the suse to see the windows folder on the windows machine,any tips would be great...thanks

Have you configured samba yet? In konqueror type smb://<WinXPip> and see if it prompts you to log in. Replace <WinXPip> with the ip address, not the host name of the windows box.
thanks for the tip im still new to linux ,do i put the ip address of the xp machine or the suse,im not trying to ask a dumb question...thanks for your help..
Can Suse see the Win XP computer
if so, it may be that you need to "share" the folder
normally something like
right click on the folder
and select "sharing"
