Networking Question...
I have a Win98 box with an adsl connection coming into it and i have a network card in there hooked up to a network card in my linux box running red hat 6.2(soon to be mandrake 8.1). I'm hoping that's possible?? anyway how do i configure the network card in mandrake 8.1 to work right and share my adsl connection coming from my win98 box? thanks in advance.

well, give the linux card an ip number, and set it's gateway to be the win98 box. assuming you've got everythign set on win98, that's it. you'll be ok using linuxconf to set up that info, or just edit /etc/sysconfig/network and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 by hand
i'd personally recommend putting the adsl on the linux box and using that as a gateway, not wni98

thanks for the info. I don't think i can put the linux box as the gateway. It's an old p 90mhz and i have an internal adsl modem which i think is only compatiable with windows...
