Networking Problems
 

Sorry, i'm a total linux n00b. I have Fedora Core 1 that i just installed yesterday. I have a laptop with build in wireless networking (Intel pro wireless card) but it doesn't appear under network hardware... any idea on how i can get this recognized step by step? Thanks a lot.

Ok i got it to recognize the built in ethernet but the closest thing in wireless is intell ethersomething pro which isn't what it says in windows device manager and when i try to initizlize it with that i get an error

also, i managed to mess up the host name i think it is under network i think it was something like

localhost.something

could anybody tell me what that is? One more thing:

under the network devices it shows my network card recognized and activated but i cna't get online with mozilla... do i have to set the internet up somehow?>
