Networking office and home over broadband

I am in the process of setting up an office outside my home and would like to have access to all the computers wherever i was, like one network. at home i have xp pro and linux fedora computers connected to a linksys wireless router on a dsl connection. at the office the computer will be xp pro on a linsys router on a dsl connection. back at home i have a computer i want to use as a file server currently running fedora, but i am willing to change as it is not really set up yet. so my questions are:

1. is there any way i can make it look like they are all on one network?
2. how should i set up the server to share files, ftp or samba?

thanks...

1) Yes. You want a VPN. Check into FreeSWAN or poptop.
2) Samba if you can, FTP if you can't
