I want to transfer the audio file on linux machine using Ethernet port, is it possible? if possible how??

Are you trying to stream audio, or literally move the audio file itself?

For transfering files, you can use any one of the many protocols; such as NFS, SMB, CIFS, NFS, FTP, etc, etc.

How can anyone help you?? You provide no useful information about version/distro of Linux, what "audio file", and what network protocol you're trying to use.

Transfer it from 'linux machine' to WHAT? Another Linux system? Windows? Mac?? How (FTP? SSH? Web?)

Short answer is, yes, it's possible, in MANY ways. Provide details, and what your goal is, and we can help.

Asking the same question a second time, doesn't give us any more information than you did the first time. Provide details, and ask a good question, and you'll get help. If not, don't just keep reposting the same things over and over, and not participating in getting help.

If you want to copy it, what method do you want to use? If you want to stream it, look into Icecast or Shoutcast.

Thanks,sorry for short information .actualy i am from electronics doing final yr project.in which i want to transfer audio file using ethernet on arm9(at91sam9260) using linux as operating system.befor doing it on arm9 board we have to transfer audio file from one pc to another pc having linux using ethernet .plz,help me,i don't have any knowledge of linux.

Spell out your words, and write clearly.

Again, PROVIDE INFORMATION. You STILL aren't..for the third time, you have said "I want to transfer file using Linux", but haven't said HOW you want to 'transfer' it.

As said before, if you want streaming, install Icecast/Shoutcast. If you want something else, you will actually have to PROVIDE DETAILS on what you're trying to do. Coming back and saying the same thing over and over, is pointless.
