Network unreachable

I've been having a strange problem with my computer.

I have both Slack 11 and WinXP in my computer, and it was configured ok and network was fine under both OS.

One day I was using Windows and for aparently no reason my computer resetted (well, not that I find that odd). The strange thing though is that after the reset I continued having access to the network under Windows but NOT under Linux.
If I try to ping the router, it says 'network unreachable' without even trying to ping.
I tried connecting it directly to the modem, but for no avail.
Nothing I did seemed to work, ifconfig, netconfig...

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Zormac

What output did ifconfig give you?

Perhaps you should check the resolv file and hostname file.

You could also run:

netconfig

to setup your network.

Well once I get back to my pc I'll post the ifconfig output for you.

I tried netconfig, but as I said, it did no good.

And yes, the network adapter is working properly, I use it on windows and I was using it on linux until it booted for no reason.
